Venue Information
All Jivemania venues are very carefully selected, they are welcoming and very friendly. On our weekly class nights we open from 7:45pm until 10:45pm, and offer a studant discount (with a valid ID). Jivemania also hold a monthly Friday or Saturday Freestyle, (no class) at the Redbourn Club, Scunthorpe, and Eggborough Power station, Sports & Social Club. Eggborough. Dancing from 8:00pm until midnight, to a wide variety of music, you will enjoy a great social night out and have the opportunity to meet and dance with some of the best dancers from around the region.
On class nights, the early class at 8:00pm is designed for the beginner, after which you will have time to practice the moves and dance with the other people you met during the lesson. A second class "intermediate" just after 9:00pm is a little more demanding, and it's designed to develop good technique and style with some intermediate moves. The rest of the evening will be freestyle, with the tutors and crew available for you to dance with, practice your moves, ask questions and generally have a great night out. Please don't sit out if that track comes on that makes you want to dance, ask someone, a refusal is almost unheard of at Jivemania and is frowned upon, most are only to pleased to help.
If you happen to miss a few weeks, it does not matter, as all of the beginners moves are covered every 5 to 6 weeks.
